An Ongoing Commitment

Always giving back to the community.

Giving back to the community is something that Bowers + Kubota truly values. We passionately make it an ongoing commitment by participating in various events and acts of kindness. Please enjoy the following pictures of the B+K Team helping make our community and home a better place.

Hawaii Foodbank Food Drive

“Together, We are Building a More Resilient Hawaii”. Teaming up with other Hawaii construction, development, and design firms to help distribute more than 130 tons of food to rural Oahu residents.

Habitat for Humanity

Some of us lending a helping hand to build out this 600 square foot home on the Windward side of the island.

Helping Hands Hawaii

We filled 200 backbacks with school supplies for the Helping Hands Hawaii Ready to Learn campaign.

Adopt A Highway Oahu

We participate in the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway Program on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island by picking up litter along our highways. We help to prevent pollutants from entering our storm drains, streams and the ocean.

CANstruction

Each year our Design Team participates in the AIA CANstruction competition by designing and building structures out of canned goods. All proceeds are donated to the Hawaii Foodbank.

Kahauiki Village

Providing manpower for Kahauiki Village, a plantation style community development to house Hawaii’s homeless families.

Hawaii Foodbank - Senior Food Box Packing Day

It’s a family affair, our employees and their families come out for this annual food packing day, filling up over 2,500 boxes of healthy food that is distributed to low-income seniors in our community.

Punawai Rest Stop – Shower with Grace

Delivery day of 300 robes, towels, and pairs of slippers to the Mental Health Kokua’s Punawai Rest Stop facility.
