B+K provided construction management services for the strategic redevelopment of Kamehameha Schools’ Kapalama Campus, which consists of five distinct phases: the middle school, the middle school dormitories, the PE/athletics complex, the Malalo parking structure, and the Ka’iwakiloumoku Hawaiian Culture Center. The project included the demolition of 14 existing buildings and the construction of 11 new buildings on 33 acres of land. The new buildings incorporated classrooms, dormitories, offices, a library, a fitness center, and a dining hall, among other rooms for various functions. The Malalo parking structure will be a 3-story, 500-stall parking garage with pre-cast columns and panels, and an elevated pedestrian walkway with precast spandrels.
