Construction Management Services were provided for the strategic redevelopment of Kamehameha Schools’ Kapalama Campus, which consists of five distinct project: the middle school, the middle school dormitories, the PE/athletics complex, the Malalo parking structure, and the Ka’iwakiloumoku Hawaiian Culture Center. The new middle school and dormitories situated on a site approximately 33 acres in size. The scope of work included the demolition of 13 existing buildings and the development of five new buildings totaling approximately 160,000 s.f. of new space. One of the buildings is for general and specialty classrooms and two buildings are for girls’ and boys’ dormitories. Other buildings include administration, library, dining, food service, and a fitness center. Additional improvements included a new entry, roadways, and covered walkways, play court, landscaping, and parking.
