Construction Management Services were provided for the widening of Haleakala Highway from the intersection of Firebreak Road to Pukalani Bypass. Roadway improvements included the construction of four bridge structures, two new lanes of asphalt travel way, installation of traffic signals at Hali’imaili Road and Keahua Road intersections, the installation of new and upgrade of existing guardrail and end treatments, construction of paved shoulder areas to serve as bike paths and the installation of a new runaway truck ramp. During construction of the widening, it was determined that the existing pavement needed rehabilitation.
