Construction Management Services to support the renovations related to the expansion of the laboratory in the basement of the Honolulu Police Department. The project scope included major reconstruction of the interior spaces including new plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work to support the new laboratory equipment. Several large open office spaces were constructed. The existing exhaust fans were removed and new exhaust fans installed on the roof to support the new fume hoods in the laboratory areas. New laboratory areas were constructed in former office/storage space which required trenching below the building floor slab to install and tie in new waste piping. All of the work was done in phases to allow the police department to continue to operate within the existing lab/office space.
